Head of the Department of Applied Informatics and Probability Theory, RUDN University made a report at the Steering Committee of COST IRACON (Dublin, Ireland)

On January 16-18, 2019 in Dublin, the 9th meeting of the COST IRACON Steering Committee was held, as well as the 9th meeting of the participants of the project working groups, organized within the framework of the Integrated Wireless Networks Generations 5G and Above program.

Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications of RUDN University, head of the Department of Applied Informatics and Probability Theory, Professor Konstantin Samuilov made a presentation “Kinetic approach for estimation of SIR time-dependent measures in D2D connectivity”. Konstantin spoke about the analysis of the dependence of the signal on interference (SIR), depending on time, in the communication scenario between devices (D2D).

Following the meeting, negotiations were held on the possibility of further cooperation with the City University of Dublin and it was proposed to hold a School for young researchers in the field of advanced technologies, methods and applications for 5G networks in the fall of 2019 at RUDN University.

In 2017, RUDN University scientists constructed a new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for 2-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a new scheme [2] to construct a numerical solution to the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to achieve previously unattainable accuracy of the continuity equation.
